Sign Language Interpreting Body in Nigeria
Association of Sign Language Interpreters (ASLIN) is the national Sign Language Interpreting Service for Nigeria. Established in 2015, ASLIN is supported and funded through donations.
The mission of ASLIN is to ensure Deaf people can live as full and equal citizens. We achieve this by promoting, and advocating for the availability of quality interpretation services to Deaf people and service providers in Nigeria.

Our Practice Areas
We serve as the communication bridge for the Deaf community. Outlined here are some of the core areas where we work.
Access to health services at Hospitals and Clinic are facilitated by our experienced interpreters.
On the television, we provide up-to-date information to keep Deaf abreast of recent happeninngs.
Virtual Relay Interpreting (VRI) makes it possible to interpret remotely for the Deaf, our expert Terps do VRI.
The support we provide from the family front has been very beneficial to Deaf who suffer neglect by family members.
You will find us in all Schools for the Deaf accross Nigeria, using the first language of Deaf for teaching.
Deaf are able to fight injustice by mediation and litigation in Sign Language thus given them a voice.
Maintaining professinalism is core to our work. We maintain a repository of qualified Interpreters for the Deaf.
We provide Sign Language Interpreters for sporting events. Our Terps are also on hand during trainings.

We have state chapters across the 6 geo-political zones of Nigeria. Our head office is located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Nigeria.
