NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS
The Sign Language Interpreter emphasizes empirical research in the field of Special Education particularly hearing impairment as well as sign language communication and interpretation. It provides an avenue for dissemination of research findings in form of original research, book review, theoretical and conceptual papers, among potential researchers, students, educators as well as policy makers.
All submitted manuscripts are blind peer-reviewed in compliance to research standards. Papers submitted must not be published elsewhere and should not be submitted for publication elsewhere.
Manuscripts must not be more than 13 pages of A4 paper size double spacing including title page, abstract, body of the work and references. That is, title page should be on page 1, Abstract on page 2, introduction on page 3. References should start on a fresh page.
Each manuscript must be preceded by an abstract of not more than 150 words
Title page should contain title of article, author(s’) name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s).
Character type to be used should be Times New Roman.
References appearing in the text must conform to the 7th edition of the publications manual of American Psychological Association (APA).
Manuscripts should be submitted strictly online to the editor-in-chief through adaterfagmail.com.
A non-refundable assessment fee of N5000.00 (subject to review) shall accompany the manuscripts through the account number that shall be communicated to the contributor after sending the manuscript.
Contributors shall pay a publication fee of N20,000.00 (also subject to review) when their papers are accepted for publication.
Once a paper is accepted for publication authors cede copyright to The Sign Language Interpreter.
